Last week, Pearlfisher London hosted its Fresh Pearls 2024 Awards Evening, celebrating the grand finale of our annual competition that seeks to uncover emerging creative talent. The event marked the final of this year’s initiative, which challenged participants to create a distinctive graphic visual identity inspired by rare or unique phenomena.
The competition, “Design for Life: Once in a Blue Moon,” attracted a diverse mix of over 70 entries from aspiring designers and established creatives alike. Our panel of judges were impressed by the high calibre of entries, each offering inventive and fresh interpretations of our Pearlfisher brief.
We are delighted to announce that Graphic & Branding Designer Jess Lee is this year’s winner of Fresh Pearls. Jess’s winning entry, “ORBIT,” showcased exceptional creativity and strategic thinking. Her concept for a distinguished patisserie brand drew inspiration from the ethereal nature of shooting stars, connecting the past, present, and future through beautifully crafted delicacies and celebratory cakes.
Jess shared: “This experience has truly been an inspiration, and I look forward to continuing my graphic branding design career in London.”
As part of her prize, Jess will have the opportunity to participate in a one-month internship with Pearlfisher London, collaborating with our project teams and gaining industry experience.
Tiarnie Stammers, Junior Designer at Pearlfisher London, commented on the success of the initiative:“Fresh Pearls is helping to diversify our team and brings new perspectives into our work. We’re thrilled with the outcome of this year’s competition and excited to welcome Jess to our team.”
