Mackenzie Hudock
Designer
As a midwest native, my design roots began at the University of Cincinnati school of DAAP (Design, Architecture, Art, & Planning). Through the cooperative education program, I was exposed to the wider creative world with alternating semesters of in-class learning with internship experience. I ventured from local studios to Los Angeles, where I dove headfirst into a range of branding work with clients from start-ups to household names.
I fell in love with design when I grasped that good design will connect with what makes us human; the best designs are based on a continual balance of creativity and strategy. In turn, I strive to create moments that spark conversations lasting beyond packaging on the shelf.
Having an unconventional college experience in the midst of a global pandemic created a foundation of flexibility in how I approach my creative work. I have learned the importance of being able to adapt to any challenges or changes that come your way, turning it into pretty cool opportunities for creative problem solving. It also helps to maintain humor and wit along the way.
Outside of work you can find me exploring the newest names in the New York food scene, people watching in the park, or listening to the latest pop culture podcast. I’d also consider myself a pretty savvy Scrabble player–I remain undefeated in my family game nights.
